National Trust Venison Stew

Last weekend I used up some diced muntjac meat to make this delicious venison stew, a recipe I found on the National Trust web site.  The recipe states it serves 4 but I think this would easily feed 6 as there was more than enough for 4.  I used a slow cooker just to make sure it was going to be tender as my meat hadn't been hung.  It melted in the mouth.  If using a slow cooker, reduce the amount of liquid, I just used the wine and an undiluted Knorr Stock Pot, instead of the bullion, and no extra water.  It's easy to add liquid but not so easy to remove it.
